Miller Creek
Miller Creek is located approximately 20 km west of Campbell River on Hwy 28. It is the largest of the fee sites in the Sayward Forest District with 46 sites and is popular with locals. There is a small boat launch area, a dock, swimming platform, and a separate day use area.
This site is closed and gated after Labour Day but is available for off-season rental. Please contact us if you would like to inquire about off-season rental rates and dates.
Campbell Lake
Campbell Lake is located on Campbell Lake FSR north of Campbell River. It is hosted, has 25 sites, an extended waterfront area and a small boat launch.

Brewster Lake
Brewster Lake is located on Menzies FSR at 19 km and can also be accessed via Campbell Lake FSR. Brewster Lake is a hosted campground with 19 sites. It is a forested site with a sandy beach that is also popular with day users.
Dogwood Bay
Dogwood Bay is a small campground with 5 sites located approximately 26 km from Campbell River on Campbell Lake FSR.
Loon Bay
Loon Bay is located 28 km from Campbell River at 10.5 km on Campbell Lake FSR. It has 8 sites, a sunny exposure, and a sandy beach area.
Orchard Meadows
Orchard Meadows is found at 12 km on Campbell Lake FSR. It has 13 sites and it situated on Fry Lake.
Gray Lake
Gray Lake campground is on Gray Lake FSR at the 2 km mark. This is a popular campground with 6 sites, a boat launch and historical railway trestle.
Brewster Camp
Brewster Camp is best accessed via Menzies FSR. It is located just past the junction of Menzies and Gray Lake FSR. This site is unique in that it is shared and managed together with the Back-Country Horse Society of BC. When using this area, please camp on the lake side or away from the corrals on the high side of the road.
Apple Point
Apple Point is an open grassy campground with 5 sites and is found at 20 km on Menzies FSR. There is a boat launch at the site, but it is fairly steep and four wheel drive is recommended.
Please Note:
- Miller Creek, Campbell Lake, and Brewster Lake are all gated from 10 pm until 7 am.
- All Forestry Rec sites have a 14-day consecutive stay limit.
- The cost for camping at any of the fee sites is $15/day, $7.50 for seniors and people with disabilities. There is an additional cost for extra vehicles.
- Dogwood Bay, Loon Bay, Orchard Meadows, Gray Lake, Apple Point, and Brewster Camp do not have a host on site but are maintained daily.
- Expect to encounter logging trucks and equipment at any time and always drive with headlights on and exercise extreme caution.
