Terrace Area Provincial Parks

Lakelse Lake Provincial Park

Located in the heart of the Kitimat mountain range, approximately 18 km south of Terrace, Lakelse contains Furlong Bay campground and Gruchy's Beach day use area. A Visitor Center, power hook-ups, showers, group sites and an amphitheatre can all be found here. There is also an exceptional preserve of old growth forest, salmon bearing streams, and wildlife to capture the attention of nature enthusiasts.

Kleanza Creek Provincial Park

Kleanza Creek is found 18 km east of Terrace and has camping, hiking, and day use opportunities. Deep in the heart of the northern Coast Mountain range, this area is rich with cultural history and historical significance.

Exchamsiks River Park

Exchamsiks River is 58 km west of Terrace. It is a day use area with a boat launch and interpretive trails in an old-growth forest. There are two areas to enjoy here: one on the west side of the river with paved boat launch and another on the east side of the river where the interpretive trail is found.

Prudhomme Lake

Prudhomme Lake is located 17 km east of Terrace. This site is somewhat off the beaten path and has a small forested campground.

Diana Lake

Diana Lake Park is a day use area located close to Prudhomme Lake campground. There are many water based activities that can be enjoyed here as well as a nature trail that travels through a lush stand of old growth forest. Incredibly, all five species of salmon can be found in the lakes and creeks around this park.
